Favorite Green Juice

As I mentioned, on The Fast Metabolism Diet you eat A LOT of vegetables.  I was having a really tough time with it, so I stuffed a bunch of veggies in my Vitamix and came up with this concoction.  I don’t measure anything, so this is just basically a list of things to blend together.

In a Vitamix or other powerful blender, add:

  • A handful of ice
  • 1/2 cucumber, peeled
  • A handful of kale
  • A handful of spinach
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • A slice of fresh ginger
  • About a tablespoon of Truvia, more of less depending on how sweet you like your juice
  • Water – I add water once everything is in the mixer, and I usually fill it about 1/3 to the top.

Blend on high for 30 seconds, and then on medium speed for 15-30 seconds (this reduces the amount of foam).

Pour and enjoy!

You can really tinker around with this combination and make it your own.  Depending on what day I’m on with the Fast Metabolism Diet, sometimes I add blueberries, mango, apple, strawberries.  Really whatever floats your boat.
